Memorial Day Air Show 2005

Columbia puts on an air show each year at Memorial Day. I had wanted to go for several years, but something always came up so that I couldn't. In 2005 I decided that no matter what, I was going to the air show. These are a few of the photos I took that morning. Oh, by the way... you may know that I am an aviation buff, but that is commercial aviation. My knowledge of military aircraft is unimpressive.

I believe this is an F/A-18.

And I think this is an F-15.

This is a little trainer. It reminds me of a tadpole.

This must be an A-10 Thunderbolt.

Helicopter tail rotor.

Helicopter rotor.

A proud veteran returns after an exciting performance.

The Kansas City Kitty, which I believe is a North American P-51 Mustang.

Cowl and air intake.

I can't say.

F/A-18 taxiing.
