A Few Photos From Downtown Denver

I was in Colorado for our family Christmas gathering in December of 2003. I managed to take some photos of downtown Denver while I was there. Here are a few of them.

A Trip to the Denver Zoo

I have been to the Denver Zoo several times, but this was this only time I took any photos. Like Tampa, Denver has a modern zoo with natural looking exhibits. Find out more by following the link in the Landmarks I've Visited section.

TWA MD-80

One of my greatest pastimes is to watch jets land and take off. Whenever I am in the city, if I have the chance, I'll spend some time on the airport periphery. On this day, I was able to photograph a Trans World Airlines MD-80 taking off. Mind you, I've probably taken hundreds of photos of airplanes, but this is the only one that has ever turned out half way decent.

Night Views of Denver

After arriving in Denver, I drove up to Green Mountain, and then up to Lookout Mountain to get these night shots of the city.

Denver Botanic Gardens

Whenever I visit a city, I always seem to visit the botanical and zoological gardens. On this trip, I did visit the Denver Botanic Gardens. More information can be found at the Garden's web site; there's a link in the Landmarks I've Visited section.

Downtown Denver

Denver is one of my favorite cities - I grew up there. I spent one afternoon of my 1989 vacation there, waxing nostalgic. It had only been two and a half years since I had moved to Florida, so I made it a point to visit some of my favorite places.
