My last visit on this vacation is to the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, and it's another of those places I've been to many, many times.

More from the Ringling Museum Courtyard
Although I was living near Tampa at this time, I made a trip down to Sarasota to visit the Ringling Museum of Art. Unfortunately, I have not been back to the museum since this visit.
This photo is a perfect example of how difficult a subject the courtyard can be. There is far too much going on in the photo.

More from Ca d'Zan
Another visit to the Ringling grounds, specifically Ca d'Zan, which means 'House of John'. It's the mansion in which John and Mable Ringling lived. You can find out more by following the link the the Ringling Museum of Art in the Landmarks I've Visited section.
Ringling Museum Courtyard
More photos from the courtyard of the Ringling Museum of Art. It can be a difficult place to photograph since there are so many unwanted items that can inadvertently appear in the background.

A Visit to the Ringling Museum
Today I visited the grounds of the Ringling Museum of Art, in Sarasota. There is a beautiful courtyard, of which many photos (not mine) have been published in various travel magazines and books about Sarasota and Florida. On this day, I managed to get a few photos of the courtyard, as well as the Ca d'Zan, or 'House of John'. The Ringling web site has loads of information about the museum and Ca d'Zan. There's a link to the site in the Landmarks I've Visited section.
A view of the courtyard facing west. In this wide angle view, one can barely make out the bronze replica of the Statue of David.
