Getting to Paris on the Eurostar

Monday, 4 May has arrived and I have gone to Paris on the Eurostar. I will be here until tomorrow evening when I take the Eurostar back to London. The Paris leg of the trip combines my years-long desire to see Paris with the more recent wish to take a train through the Channel Tunnel, or Chunnel.

Since this is a short trip, I won't be able to see as much as I'd like, so I'll have to make the most out of the things I can see.

And here is what I have to say about the Eurostar train: it's smooth, it's quiet, and it is fast. How fast? Up to 186 miles per hour. It was awesome. Check out the Eurostar page on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurostar.
